MUTUAL ENCOURAGEMENT IN MISSI0N.

"I long to see you so that 1 may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strongthat is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith" (Romans

1:11 NIV).

Dear friends in prayer.
 Golenu! Mbote! Greetings! Salut!
From Jan. 6 to Feb. 5 a delegation of 10 people from Fresno went to serve the body of
Christ in Kinshasa. Kikwit and Kafumba. Mutual encouragement in Christ was shared
around, as recommended in Romans 1. Here is what our Lord Jesus Christ has done.

Kinshasa is the largest African French Speaking City (7 million people). We have a
half million dollar campus debt free. Praise the Lord for this great infrastructure.
In Kinshasa the mission consisted in training 200 evangelists in six local churches. A
team of six former graduates from the Missiological University Center (MUC) are
responsible for this modular program. We joined them in order to equip evangelists and
professionals interested in reaching out their neighbors for Christ. The following six core
 courses are being taught:
Introduction to Mission. Old Testament Survey. New Testament Survey. Church History
Survey, African Culture/s and Religion/s. A medical doctor who is in this program
expressed his joy. Now he is receiving tools that are enabling him to answer his divine
call. Candidates are excited that Bible training courses are back into local churches.

Dr. Pedro Lutiniko has successfullv completed his doctoral studies at the University
of South Africa. PTL! Pray for ten more graduates en route for Intercultural doctoral studies.

Praising Jesus in the Rain Forest. Beka and Hubert are from the Twa ethnic background. Both of them are faithful Baptist Pastors. Hubert is a graduate of Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF-DRC) has accepted coming along side Pygmy outreach ministries. MAF-DRC is flying and transport clothes, shoes, and medicine to pygmies in the Bandundu province. What a Kingdom thing, Congolese Christians have donate clothes and shoes, American Christians have supplied an airplane and pilot. Twa evangelists are going to distribute these gifts as they preach the Gospel of Christ in Twa language. In Kikwit the focus was on improving the conditions of education in primary schools. Out of the hundred neediest schools in the Kikwit area, three were selected as samples. Benches are being made to help pupils move up from the floor. In 2007, one hundred benches were given to these schools. In the Kafumba area the task was three-fold: Worship, health, and farming. We ministered at Kafumba and Malela. Medicine was given to local dispensaries. Two patients share the same bed! Ways to improve medical facilities are being discussed. Five bicycles were given to five villages for community development. Each village has a committee responsible for the management of the bicycles.
